We’re nearing the halfway point of Round 2 of the “Hot Storage Startups to Watch” competition. The top 20 startups in the online voting competition will move on to Round 3, while the bottom 19 will be eliminated.
Thus far, more than 1,650 votes have been cast.
Reduxio and FileCloud are in a tight battle for the top spot, while Rubrik and Wasabi Tech are within striking distance. These four startups all have weighted scores over 1,000 (startups earn 5 points for a first-place vote, 2 for second, and 3 for third).
Datera (#5) and Datrium (#6) both have scores over 700 and could easily surge if the top 4 slack off.
The top 6 represents the startups mounting the most impressive social-media-amplification campaigns. I’ve seen them on Twitter; I’ve Retweeted their posts; I’ve noticed a couple on LinkedIn, and they’ve all been pointing their supporters to the vote.
Keep up the good work!

As of 11:15 AM PT, this is where we stand. Remember, the top 20 will move on the round 3, while the remaining 19 will be eliminated.
I’m only listing the top 27. These startups all have a weighted score over 120 and, thus, still have a decent shot at making the list of 20 finalists.
