This year’s Big50 startup competition is now open!
Tech startups founded in 2010 or later are eligible, but you must be an actual startup to compete. In other words, spin-outs, subsidiaries, and cool ideas with no funding and no customers. . . are not really startups, at least as far as this competition is concerned.
If your startup was founded in 2010 or later, has raised at least seed funding, won a startup competition that provides seed funding, or run a successful crowdfunding campaign, read on. We want you in this competition!
To enter the competition, click on “Compete in the Big50” in the menu bar above, or just use this link.
You’ll be directed to a short questionnaire, which asks you a few overview questions about your startup, as well as introducing your first challenge. The questionnaire should only take 5-10 minutes to compete, so don’t put it off.
We’re offering open enrollment to the competition this year, so your startup may join at anytime, but in order to be eligible to compete in the first challenge, be sure to get your entry in by the deadline: Wednesday, September 19, EOD.
Update: Challenge 1 is now closed to new entries. Winners will be announced soon.
To enter your startup in the competition and to be eligible for the next challenge, start here.
In case you missed it, I held a webinar to launch this year’s competition earlier today. To view the replay, go here: Big50-2018 Launch Replay.
When you listen to the replay, you’ll notice that I tried to preview Startup50’s forthcoming podcast, the Future of. . . Podcast. However, the audio glitched out on me. I’m pretty sure I just forgot to change the audio source, so everyone was listening only to my external mic and not the internal audio for the podcast trailer.
#Grrrr. #Duh.
But we’re not going to let an audio fail slow us down! Listen to the Future of. . . Podcast trailer here:
As the Big50 competition rolls along, your startup will have the chance to compete for a variety of coverage opportunities, from stories on Startup50 to being interviewed for the Future of. . . Podcast to being included in the annual Big50 startup report to opportunities I’ve nailed down with third-party publishing partners.
