The Big50-2020 Startup Competition is now open!
Tech startups founded in 2011 or later are eligible for this year’s Big50 Startup Competition, but your organization must be an actual startup to compete. In other words, spin-outs, subsidiaries, and cool ideas with no funding and no customers. . . are not really startups, at least as far as this competition is concerned.
If your startup was founded in 2011 or later, has raised at least seed funding, won a startup competition that provides seed funding, or run a successful crowdfunding campaign, read on. We want you in this competition!
Big50 and Network World Alums: Skip the Preliminaries
If your startup fought its way into a previous Big50 and/or you were featured in one of Jeff’s startup roundups for Network World, you can skip the preliminary questionnaire. Instead, we want to know about any big news that you may have since we last vetted yoru startup.
Alums: Go here to enter the competition and update any info that may be dated.
First-time Competitors: Tell us about your startup
If this is your first time competing in the Big50 or if you competed but did not make it into a Big50 Startup Report, please tell us about yourself. This startup questionnaire will ask you about the key details we look at in startups when we evaluate them for coverage.
Newcomers: Go here to enter the Big50-2020 startup competition.
Challenges, Open Enrollment, and Deadlines
You may enter the Big50 competition at any time, and the kick-off questionnaires above don’t have to be completed right away in order to compete. You may focus on the individual challenges first.
However, you will need to complete the appropriate entry questionnaire before the close of the competition in order to be considered for the Big50-2020 Startup Report. We’ll give you a heads up about the final deadline near the end of the competition.
See the page for each challenge for that challenge’s deadline.
The first challenge will be posted in the next few days. Stay tuned. . .
